The Xbox/Microsoft Live Subscription Scam

To any one who is thinking of purchasing Xbox Live with a CREDIT CARD or similar payment method.......... DON'T FUCKING DO IT............. Xbox have made it so that if you purchase it with a Credit Card it will automatically renew each subscription when the other one ends and doesn't give you any options to stop this, also your card details are permanently stored in your Xbox Live Account, so if someone boots up your console and logs onto your Xbox Account they can easily purchase Xbox electronic merchandise without even knowing it's costing you money.

So far it seems the only way to stop Automatic Renewing is to call Xbox Live Support and make Microsoft turn it off which involves a lenghty waiting time on the phone before actually speaking to anyone, I have searched the Xbox Live website to turn off automatic renewing and the option is not anywhere, if you search help it says you can do it but with no explanation as to how. Another method is to contact your bank and tell them you lost your Credit Card and get a whole new one with a new account so when your subscription ends that card does not exist anymore and Microsoft cannot get money from a non existing account.

You cannot remove your credit card information from your account either.

THE ONLY WAY YOU SHOULD GET XBOX LIVE GOLD is by buying the physical CARDS in store which will have a redemption code to enter into your account and activate the subscription.
